People’s Artist of Russia Vladimir Mashkov believes that the case of Galina Volchek and Oleg Efremov should continue. The actor stated this TASSHe comments on his appointment as director of the Sovremennik Theatre.
“I knew how much strength and love these great people gave to the theater, so they should continue their work, live where their feelings were born,” said Tabakerka’s artistic director.
Mashkov recalled how Volchek supported him when Oleg Tabakov passed away. The actor and former artistic director noted that Sovremennik was always with him, gave master classes to his students and could talk about theater for hours. According to Mashkov, Volchek will always remain in her life, even if he leaves.
7 June recognizedMashkov became the director of the Sovremennik Theatre. In addition, Evgeny Gerasimov became the artistic director of the Moscow Academic Theater of Satire, and Konstantin Bogomolov became the artistic director of the Roman Viktyuk Theatre.
The Moscow mayor’s press service noted that all three will retain their current positions. Mashkov will remain as artistic director of Moscow’s Oleg Tabakov Theatre, Evgeny Gerasimov will continue to serve in a similar position at the Malaya Ordynka Theatre, and Bogomolov will continue to serve in a similar position at the Malaya Bronnaya Theatre.
