Japanese director Hayao Miyazaki is already working on his next film. This information approved Son of cinematographer Goro Miyazaki.
According to Miyazaki Jr., his father is currently creating a film that “looks like an adventure movie, nostalgic and reminiscent of old times.” Other details of Miyazaki’s new work are still unknown.
March 11, Miyazaki’s feature-length cartoon “The Boy and the Bird” accepted Oscar statuette for best animated film. In the story, a boy named Mahito misses his mother very much and eventually decides to go on a risky journey to the other world.
Hayao Miyazaki is 83 years old. He is known for his animated feature films: Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, Whisper of the Heart, Laputa Castle in the Sky and My Neighbor Totoro.
Spirited Away won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. Miyazaki was also awarded an honorary Oscar in 2014 “for having a profound impact on world animation.”
