Indian company Kartina Entertainment will shoot a film about the first Indian cosmonaut Rakesh Sharma in Russia. In this respect reports The Economic Times quoted the company’s chairman, Sarfaraz Alam Safa.
Before this, his company had already produced films in Russia.
“I am also working on a film, a biopic of Rakesh Sharma, which will be shot here,” he said.
Sharm ascended into Earth orbit in 1984 as part of the crew of the Soviet Soyuz T-11 spacecraft, along with Soviet cosmonauts Yuri Malyshev and Gennady Strekalov. Sharma’s flight time was 7 days 21 hours 41 minutes.
The Gaganyaan Project, which will send India’s first national space team into space, is planned to be carried out in 2025. Four crew members have completed training in Russia’s Star City and are continuing their training in India.
