Maria Butina, a member of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs and host of the political talk show “Babies of Tutti’s Heirs” on Channel One, talked about working with the general director of the channel, Konstantin Ernst. The politician stated this in an interview with Vyacheslav Manucharov.
He explained that the political talk show was originally supposed to be hosted by two artists (a man and a woman). However, in the end Ernst decided to leave only Butina in the leading position. The deputy also emphasized that this happens extremely rarely on Russian television.
“We do not have a single program on Russian television with a political program hosted by a young woman alone. This is not the case. But it seems Ernst believed me,” said Butina.
The deputy also noted that, despite his great participation in the work of the television program, the name of the program was invented not by him, but by the general director of Channel One.
