TV presenter Yana Churikova admitted in the program “Factory with Yana Chu” on YouTube that she did not host the “New Star Factory” because of the “Voice” project.
Churikova explained that she is the host of the “Voice” program on Channel One, so she cannot broadcast on competitive channels.
Churikova admitted that she refused to work at New Star Factory in 2017 due to conflict of interest. She was heading MTV at the time.
“Now the first point is that they didn’t invite me. Second point; I wouldn’t go. These are different channels, different holdings. And this is an uncompromising rivalry. There is no talk of me hosting anything on TNT, which by definition is produced by White Media,” the TV presenter said.
The first news concert of “New Star Factory” was broadcast on TNT on March 3. After this, the show participants went to the home where they would live, create and study for the coming months. The first five participants of the project included Tina Kandelaki’s son Leo, Yandex Music project “Iskra” participant Daria Kochneva, chansonnier Mikhail Krug’s son Alexander, jazz singer Maria Gordeeva and Altai talent Nikita Ufimtsev.
Previously Yana Churikova appreciated the reopening of the “Star Factory”.
