“The main task is to ensure that the category does not remain as a line on the distribution certificate, but actually offers preferences at the box office,” the MP said.
Yampolskaya added that she will hold a working meeting on this issue with her colleagues and will discuss the need for the current idea at this meeting. He noted that if other deputies agree with his opinion, the State Duma will consider criteria and mechanisms that will allow Russian projects to receive the status of “socially important”.
Yampolskaya added a link to another entry in her post, in which she talked about the appeal of deputies to the heads of the largest cinema chains in Russia with a request to support the military drama “Passenger Call Sign”. The State Duma demanded that cinemas show the film “in the maximum possible number of sessions at a time convenient for the audience.”
