Producer and actor of the Ural Dumplings group, Alexander Popov, talked about the preparation of comedians for concerts on the comedian’s YouTube channel.
He noted that initially working with creative groups was divided into several phases. In the first stage, the invited writers and comedians of the project come together in various places and tell jokes. Performers can then put the jokes together to create a full concert.
“Let’s say there is a special author’s work. So everyone writes in certain groups in their place,” explained Popov.
When all the numbers are ready, “Ural Dumplings” perform a show in their hometown Yekaterinburg, and then film a concert in Moscow. According to Popov, comedians rehearse their finished performances at a special base for three days and have a 6-hour dress rehearsal before the concert.
