Litfond auction house will auction works by Pablo Picasso, Mikhail Shemyakin and other artists in Yekaterinburg on March 2 and 7. This was reported by TASS With reference to the press service of the Russian auction house.
On March 7, Mikhail Shemyakin’s 1991 painting “The Transformation of Picasso” will be offered at auction. During the same laziness, a color lithograph by the Spanish artist Pablo Picasso was also put up for auction – the work “The Artist and the Model” from 1954.
On March 2, the Literary Fund will offer to purchase the historical icon “The Miraculous Appearance of the Mother of God to Russian Soldiers in the August Forest”, painted on November 12, 1915.
“On the icon there is the following inscription: “The appearance of the Mother of God to the Russian detachment before the defeat of the Germans in the August forests.” The auction house previously announced that the sale of such an icon in a smaller size at the Literary Fund reached 460,000 rubles.
Also on March 7, the Old Believer icon “Our Lady Hodegetria” from the first half of the 19th century by avant-garde artist Kirill Zdanevich and futurist Mikhail Larionov will be offered for sale at auction.
All lots are declared with a starting bid of 1 ruble.
