The series “Alice Can’t Wait” directed by Natalia Meshchaninova has been removed from Russian online cinemas. In this respect report Vedomosti cites two top executives of major video services.
As confirmed by the Start service, the project had to be removed at the request of Roskomnadzor (RKN), which sent a notice to online cinemas on February 22. According to the statement made by RKN, some violations were detected regarding some episodes of the TV series “Alice Can’t Wait”. According to a Start representative, “the series contains information that should not be distributed on an audiovisual service.”
It is not stated exactly what this information is.
“Given the disclosures we had, we had to hide the series for viewing on our platform and other video services where it is available via partner subscription,” the online cinema said.
The series “Alice Can’t Wait” premiered on the Start video service in October 2022.
