According to Rastorguev, at that time VIA “Hello Song” needed a vocalist. However, as the singer stated, Matvienko did not want to take him to the team. The artist explained that this was due to his appearance.
“The image of the community was a little different at that time. “My hair was short and everyone there had long hair and trendy rock guitars,” the artist shared.
Matvienko added that he changed his mind about Rastorguev because he sang well and learned the lyrics to all the songs. They have been collaborating for 35 years since then.
