Alexander Baranov, director of the upcoming film about Vladimir Zhirinovsky, in an interview with Reedus commented The words of Ivan Vershinin, a member of the Tyumen Regional Duma from the LDPR, that Nikita Kologrivy, the actor of the role of Kashchei in the series “A Child’s Word: Blood on the Asphalt”, could play the creator of the Liberal Democratic Party, because they are similar both in appearance and temperament.
Baranov told reporters that he had not yet considered the leading actor because “the project is still in its early stages.”
“When it comes time to cast, we’ll think about it. The fact that it’s similar – yes, I’ve seen it similar. They showed a photo, it looks a lot like the photos, but you have to look at how it is in reality. Baranov noted that in addition to external similarity, many other things are needed.
It was also reported that Kologrivoy’s manager refused to discuss the actor’s potential involvement in the film’s production.
LDPR Chairman Leonid Slutsky had previously announced that the party plans to make a feature film about Zhirinovsky, one of the most important political figures in modern Russia. The parliamentarian believes that a film about his colleague will help Russians appreciate Zhirinovsky’s life path and at the same time captivate him with an interesting plot.
Previously Slutsky presented Election center in Moscow.
