It was suggested that singer Sofia Rotaru be deprived of the title of “Honorary Citizen of Yalta”. In this respect reports RT cites Vladimir Rezanov, deputy head of the Russian community in Crimea.
According to Rezanov, the proposal was accepted by the community presidency by a general decision. He stated that Rotaru financed the Ukrainian Armed Forces, did not recognize Crimea as Russian territory in 2014, and supported the Ukrainian army after the start of a special operation:
“He is actually the enemy of our country in any case. “This decision has been taken for a long time and is overdue,” he said.
It is known that the singer congratulated the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with a special postcard on the day of St. Nicholas (Christian saint – editor’s note) on the day of the Ukrainian army.
