A music critic explains the reasons for Decl’s popularity

Russian rapper Decl (real name Kirill Tolmatsky) became successful because his father and producer Alexander Tolmatsky promoted him according to the laws of popular culture, and young people were looking for an idol. With this view shared Music critic Evgeny Babichev in an interview with News.ru.

The critic noted that the main motive of Decl’s songs is the misunderstanding between parents and teenagers and the problems of growing up.

Kirill Tolmatsky passed away due to heart failure after a concert in Izhevsk on February 3, 2019. The artist was 35 years old.
