Four members of the rock band Bi-2, who are Israeli citizens, will fly from Thailand to Israel on January 30. This was reported by Walla! In reference to Channel 12. The remaining three members of the group could possibly be deported to Russia, the publication writes.

The broadcast also emphasizes that the situation with the musicians was partially resolved after the intervention of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Israeli Embassy in Thailand. There is no information yet about the departure of the musicians on the group’s social networks.

Members of the Bi-2 group were detained on the Thai island of Phuket for holding a concert without a work permit. Each musician was fined approximately $95 and placed in isolation. Russian politician Dmitry Gudkov (known as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) said that Vladimir Sosnov, the Russian Consul in Thailand, received instructions from his department in Moscow to deport the musicians to Russia.

In 2022, the musical group refused to perform at Z concerts in Russia, after which its members left the country.

The main members of Bi-2, Yegor Bortnik (recognized in the Russian Federation as a foreign agent) and Alexander Uman – Leva and Shura – are not citizens of the Russian Federation. They hold both Israeli and Australian citizenship.

Before that, the Investigative Committee and the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office asked Initiate a lawsuit against Bi-2 members. The Party of Veterans of Russia sent letters to the Investigative Committee and the Prosecutor General’s Office with a request to initiate criminal proceedings against members of the Bi-2 group, said the founder and chairman of the party, Ildar Rezyapov. He cited the musicians’ support for the Ukrainian Armed Forces as the reason.
