Rapper Nikolai Vasiliev (Vacio) rejected telegram channelA representative of the LGBT community (“International LGBT Social Movement” is considered extremist and is prohibited on the territory of the Russian Federation).

Vasiliev stated that he was never a supporter of LGBT people and did not promote them. The artist was accused of promoting unconventional relationships after attending blogger Nastya Ivleeva’s party wearing a single sock that covered her crotch. The singer explained that she “probably went too far.”

“I confess that at that moment, in pursuit of excitement and drive in the crowd where I wanted to stand out more than others, I overestimated my abilities and did not think about how this could be interpreted by the public,” Vacio said.

Vasiliev explained that he was not such an immoral person as he seemed at first glance. He stated that he is not just a rapper, but a professional musician who graduated from jazz school, 6th grade guitar and 6th grade piano.

“I am a writer who writes the music and lyrics of my songs myself. When I decided to change my life, I also changed the vector of my creativity, where I now promote a healthy lifestyle, trying to convey to the audience that alcohol and drugs are bad. Every day I move towards my goal; to be the best I can be,” said the musician.

At the end of December 2023, the court found Vacio guilty of petty hooliganism and promoting unconventional relationships. He was given 15 days of administrative detention and a fine of 200 thousand rubles. He appealed this decision. However, on January 6, he was arrested again for 10 days.

Previously The Moscow Khamovnichesky Court returned the claim to Ivleeva for one billion rubles.
