Ilya Reznik was outraged by Laima Vaikule’s criticism of Raymond Pauls: “I have nothing to say”

Poet Ilya Reznik, who has collaborated with composer Raymond Pauls on more than one occasion, said: mk.ruHe said that he did not agree with Laima Vaikule’s words towards the artist.

“Today they told me how Lyma insulted my dear co-author Raymond and showed him her response. I couldn’t stay silent. Raymond says he doesn’t take Lyme seriously. This is true. But he needs to treat his composer seriously and respectfully,” Reznik fumed.

The poet once said that he and Pauls “created” Laima Vaikule in order to be angry with Alla Pugacheva when they quarreled with the singer. Reznik said that they “took Vaikule out of the tavern”, created a repertoire for him and made him appear on the big stage. The songwriter stated that he was aware of Vaikule’s serious illness and because of this, the singer was experiencing financial difficulties.

“He needs to earn money for expensive medicines. He speaks badly about our country, where he lived happily and richly throughout his life. “I wish him good health,” Reznik said.
