The court rejected Kirkorov’s claim regarding apartment taxes

The Moscow City Court rejected the claim filed by singer Philip Kirkorov against the capital’s City Property Service (DGI). This was reported by RIA News.

Kirkorov filed a lawsuit against the city real estate department in 2022. The artist tried to challenge in court an error made in calculating taxes on his apartment in central Moscow. As stated by the star’s lawyer, the artist was found to have “extra debts”.

According to RIA Novosti, Kirkorov “requested that the cadastral value of the apartment he owns as of January 1, 2021 be determined in the amount of 229,477,000 rubles.” The debt itself amounted to 318,042,513 rubles. An inspection was conducted in which no violations were found.

On December 21, 2023, the court rejected the claim and demanded that Kirkorov recover approximately 23 thousand rubles in favor of the DGI for the forensic medical examination. As stated in the publication, the court’s decision can be appealed to the First Supreme Court of First Instance within one month.
