Singer Philip Kirkorov will star in “Ivan Vasilyevich Changes Everything!”, which will premiere on December 31. He played Emperor Peter I in the comedy. This was reported by kp.ru.
The broadcast quotes the artist as saying: “For many years, the image and brand ‘Peter I’ has been attached to me, so traditionally I successfully portray the first Emperor of All Russia in many films and TV projects.”
As kp.ru notes, Kirkorov has already appeared several times in the image of the leader of the Russian Empire: he last played him in 2022 in the sketch comedy “How Peter went to Holland and worked at a shipyard.”
In addition to the singer, the cast of the remake of Leonid Gaidai’s cult comedy included Timur Batrutdinov, Maxim Lagashkin, Demis Karibidis, Oleg Vereshchagin, artist Anna Asti and others. The directors were Misha Semichev and Roman Kim.
The plot of the movie is based on Shurik trying to bring Tsar Ivan the Terrible home with the help of a time machine. But the VPN that runs it keeps breaking down, causing the heroes to travel to different countries and times, altering history by accident or design.
