The films of Russian director Pavel Lungin were included in the program of the 29th International Film Festival in Kolkata. This was reported by TASS.

Indian viewers have seen the director’s films such as “Poor Relatives” (2005), “The Brotherhood” (2019), “Queen of Spades” (2016), “Chief” (2012), “Island” (2006), “Taxi Blues” (1990) and “Wed”. ” (2009). Lungin also took part in the jury of the festival, whose competition included the film “Seasons” by figure skater and Olympic bronze medalist Maxim Shabalin.

The competition will end on December 12. The festival includes a total of 13 films from directors from around the world.

Lately reportedfigure skater Shabalin’s directorial debut won an award at an international festival in Mexico. The plot of the film revolves around the ballerina of the Mariinsky Theater Natalia, who is preparing for the premiere of the ballet “Seasons”. The script of the film was written by the skater himself.

The main character was played by actress Irina Grineva. In addition to him, the cast included: former soloist of the Bolshoi Theater Denis Medvedev, actors Alexander Galibin, Pavel Osadchiy, Tatyana Maist and Irina Savitskova.
