Soviet and Ukrainian theater and film actor Sergei Kustov died at the age of 77. The press service of the First Ukrainian Children’s and Youth Theater reported this on Facebook (the owner of the Meta company is known as an extremist in Russia and is banned).

“Our senior colleague, friend and mentor, People’s Artist of Ukraine Sergei Pavlovich Kustov, an epoch in the history of Lviv theater and the whole country, has passed away,” the message says.

The causes of his death are not stated.

The actor was born in 1946 in the city of Gadyach in the Poltava region of Ukraine. He is a graduate of the Kyiv State Theater Institute. From 1968 until the end of his life, Kustov served in the First Ukrainian Children’s and Youth Theater (formerly the Lviv Youth Theatre). During this time he played more than 100 roles.

Kustov has also appeared in films since 1966. He is known for his role as the musketeer Montaran in Georgy Yungvald-Khilkevich’s 1978 film D’Artagnan and the Three Musketeers and as the cook in its 2008 sequel The Return of the Musketeers or The Treasures of Cardinal Mazarin. .
