In Moscow, at the international fair of intellectual literature NON/FICTION, Zhou Meisen’s psychological detective story “In the Name of the People” was presented for the first time. Chance publishing house reported this to socialbites.ca.
The plot focuses on the anti-corruption investigation in China and the machinations of local political elites. As the security units solve the case entrusted to them, they feel the resistance stronger. The book has already been translated and published in 12 countries. Its total circulation exceeded 1.6 million copies.
Zhou Meisen, creator of For the People, began his career as a journalist and began writing in the mid-1980s. In his work, he explores modern life in China from the perspective of realism. The author also pays special attention to such phenomena as corruption and bribery. Even as a journalist, Zhou Meisen was interested in these issues; He had to conduct hundreds of interviews with corrupt officials who were arrested.
Alexander Pikover, senior researcher at the China Center for Social and Economic Research at the Institute of Far Eastern Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, translated Meisen’s work into Russian.
The NON/FICTION fair takes place from November 30 to December 3 in the Moscow Gostiny Dvor complex.
