Alicante Museum of Contemporary Art celebrates Between 1 – 3 December All MACAsmultidisciplinary artistic conferences for the purpose make visible and strengthen -most disabled people. The museum returns to a programming classic for its seventh year, with the aim of ensuring that all people can participate in regular creative processes, have access to artistic environments, and engage in all educational and professional fields around the world. International Day of Persons with Disabilities celebrated every day December 3.

The program of this seventh edition consists of: Numerous artistic and cultural events took place throughout this weekend (December 1, 2 and 3), transforming the museum into a place that will attract the attention of viewers from all walks of life and establishing a dialogue with the public integrate the museum in the social life of the city It is accessible to all people.

Programming

  • Friday, December 1st at 11:00.. Poster presentation Sempere of the project Pulling the Thread. Pictograms welcome to the museum.

The results of the fourth edition of the project were presented Pulling the Thread Developed by the DaGuten collective. Neighborhood Graphic School. In commemoration of the centenary of Eusebio Sempere’s birth, this project was expanded and shared with associations and groups that did not have the opportunity to experience Sempere’s life and work in a museum environment (Centro Dr. Esquerdo from the Provincial Council) Alicante, Adacea (Alicante Acquired Brain Injury Association), Alicante General Hospital Hospital Class Hospital Pedagogy Unit, Alicante Down Syndrome Association, IES Leonardo da Vinci and La Llavor Artística artists). They were given the opportunity to learn the screen printing technique with which they created the letters SEMPERE. This poster represents the creativity and diversity of the participants and symbolizes the collaboration between different organizations to celebrate Sempere’s artistic heritage. At the same time, an information poster prepared with pictograms was placed at the museum counter. This visual resource aims to improve accessibility and experience for all our visitors.

Dynamic visit by educator and performing arts expert focusing on artist Eusebio Sempere Juan Diego Cerda. Through this experience, we seek to develop empathy by examining the figure of Sempere from the perspective of his social and personal characteristics as well as his own disabilities (partial blindness due to lack of vision in the right eye and partial blindness due to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). Participants will be able to understand the depth of their creativity and the impact of their personal challenges on their artistic expression.

  • Saturday, December 2nd at 12 noon. Presentation of the story my father’s glasses

my father’s glasses It is a story written by Ianire Doistua and is shown by Patricia González Irala, on behalf of the San Rafael – Estima Foundation. This story has been created with extraordinary precision, so that it can be easily understood by everyone.
