Director Christophe Gans, author of the first film based on the Silent Hill horror video game franchise, in an interview with a French publication Jeux video He stated that a new movie adapted from the series may be released in 2023.
According to Hans, the script of the new movie has nothing to do with the previous two movies in the series. “Silent Hill is like The Twilight Zone. A fourth dimension where anything can happen. I worked on a new Silent Hill, you could call it Silent Hill 2023 because the movie will be released next year and it doesn’t look like the Silent Hill I imagined in 2006,” the cinematographer admitted.
He added that the film will be understandable to the modern audience, but will continue the tradition of the series.
The plot of the new movie is not yet known.

One of the main characters of the series will be the daughter of Albert Wesker, one of the main enemies of the Resident Evil series games and the movie adaptations of the game. Ella Balinsky will play the role of Jade Wesker in the series.
