Valery Pereverzev’s film “Brother 3” did not receive a distribution certificate and the premiere had to be canceled. This was announced on Facebook by Vladislav Pasternak, director of the HHG film distribution company (the owner of the Meta company is known as an extremist and is banned in Russia).
“There is no rental document for the work of artist Pereverzev called “Brother 3”. The premiere screening on November 18 will not take place. Pasternak wrote that the money for the tickets would naturally be refunded.
In his meeting with HHG’s director Kholod, he explained that the Ministry of Justice had previously detected profanity in the film, but the writers removed it.
“The current allegations, in my opinion, are subjective and have nothing to do with the law,” he said.
700 tickets were sold for the film’s premiere in Moscow, and more than 400 tickets were sold in Tambov, where the film was shot.
The exact reason for the cancellation is unknown.
