Alexander Gradsky’s eldest son Daniil stated at the Malakhov exhibition that the artist’s widow Marina Kotashenko ignored his family while living with them.
According to Gradsky’s son, at one point family members began “defiantly greeting” him.
“Let them at least say a few words as they pass by. That was the end of the conversation,” said the musician’s son.

According to her, during the three months that Gradsky spent at home due to serious health problems, Kotashenko spent the night with her husband only once. Gradsky assured that his father’s widow was not such a quiet girl as it seemed at first glance.
Marina Kotashenko and Alexander Gradsky have been living in a civil marriage since 2004. In 2014, the musician’s wife gave birth to a son, whom she named Alexander. They had a second child together in 2018. The boy was named Ivan. On November 28, 2021, Gradsky passed away.
In June 2022, Gradsky’s third wife, Olga Fartysheva, filed a lawsuit against Kotashenko. She demanded that she be given a share of some of the property she acquired during her marriage to the master. Trial in October 2023 did not satisfy lawsuit filed by the composer’s third wife.
