I felt very confident in myself. It was such a sweet victory… and best of all, there are so many people angry that I won. Creating this reaction gives me so much satisfaction…
Did you always know that yours was the right path?
I also rely heavily on doubt. Respecting yourself also means giving yourself a margin for error and understanding that you may not always achieve perfection or that you may fail and have a hard time. There is no need to judge yourself strongly in such situations. Sometimes I wonder if I’m really as good as I think I am. But is it really so scary to not be as good as we think? Thanks to this reflection, I always leave my worries behind and continue walking on the path, sometimes good, sometimes bad, but always confident in myself.

For me, the reference person in music and especially in the concept of art has always been Lady Gaga.

Clearly. Despite everything, I am a very family person and I love mothers and fathers very much. I get millions of messages telling me “my dad is a super fan of yours” or “my grandma loves you.” I know I have a pretty underground image, to many people I am the antichrist but nothing could be further from the truth. I would be the best friend of any son or daughter.

Dissidents, neurodivergents, racist people who follow my work, queer people… Overall, it’s a fun, somewhat ironic way to appeal to the public who are burning with the desire to see a faithful representation of the diversity that’s still out there. We are on the streets and in our daily lives. Cultural, ethnic, gender, sexual orientation diversity… Minorities that form an indispensable part of my audience.

Sound, I rest well, I nourish myself with food and exercise, because otherwise there is no one who can withstand this crazy pace.

I really love Taylor Swift. She is one of the few artists who takes a public stance on controversial and unpopular issues. He’s stood up to some very powerful men in the industry, and I think it’s a great thing that he’s survived all the cancellation campaigns he’s endured over the years with the Kanye West controversy, re-releasing his entire repertoire because he hasn’t had it. Is there a marketing army behind the Samantha phenomenon?
Definitely. Unlike my competitors at these awards, I do not have a full communications and press department. We are Gema and I, with the support of Subterfuge record label, which is still an independent music label. That’s why I’m surprised. Some of them have resources, the number of followers they have, and for me, who continues to be the ambassador of the underground in the mainstream, it’s pretty heavy to win.

I do not blame Mallorca for anything, although it is true that it is difficult to be a prophet in your land. But I also believe that all these kinks have already been ironed out and we have come to terms.
Why did you switch Mallorca to Madrid, your current residence?
