At the Russian exhibition, musician Konstantin Ababkov from Pskov broke the record for continuous balalaika playing – he performed 60 pieces in 60 minutes. In a conversation with socialbites.ca, Ababkov admitted that it was not easy to last so long and now his fingers “burn”.

“Such a recording was not easy because I play the balalaika with real fingers. Now they are already burning, but there is nothing. I have a lot of experience, I love playing music. I’m glad there was an audience, they helped me morale. I prepared for a week, but the task was not to overplay and not lose my hands. Everything went well, yay!” – Ababkov shared.

At the “Russia” exhibition at VDNKh in Moscow, Pskov artist Boris Troyanovsky performed compositions by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Mikhail Glinka, music by contemporary writers and arrangements of Russian folk melodies and songs.
