– You started acting very early – at 10 years old. How did you know you wanted to be an actor?

– It happened completely by chance. For the first time I tried my hand at the cinema while studying at ballet school: then the director Georgy Yungvald-Khilkevich, the author of films about musketeers, caught my attention. As a result, he was looking for a girl for the role of little Jacqueline (daughter of D’Artagnan – socialbites.ca), which I played. After this project, I took a big break in my acting career – at that time I was planning to connect my life with ballet. He soon entered the school named after Leonid Lavrovsky, but left due to a leg injury.

How did you get back into filmmaking?

– My mother and I turned to an agency that we met on the first project. I have to thank my mother for contributing to my career. When I finished school, I definitely wanted to see myself in the acting profession. And then he entered VGIK.

– In the recently released TV series “Bow”, in which you played one of the main roles, the plot took place from Pyatigorsk to St. It is based on the story of a violinist who came to St. What do you think is the main idea of this project?

– The series “Sagittarius” is about how “one wrong turn” can dramatically change your life. The main character stumbles upon a girl by chance, my character Leroy, who asks her to hide the drugs. He helps her out of the kindness of her heart, so she flies off on an adventure. This story is about how life can suddenly turn upside down by chance. Even if you are a kind and good man.

– Your character Lera is a real “bad girl”. Do you have any common features?

“Oh no, we are different people. Naturally, when creating a character, the actress adds something of herself, but in the beginning Lera’s character is very different from mine. The director of the project and I remind ourselves that she is a child who escaped from an orphanage and later fell under the influence of the wrong people. we found a legend. This girl without an address and a name. Due to circumstances, the main thing for her from early childhood is to survive.

– The protagonist of the series, as already mentioned, is a violinist. Do you play any musical instrument yourself?

– I learned to play the piano in ballet school but never learned it (laughs). At the institute I started to improve myself on the ukulele – among all instruments, unfortunately, I can only play a little. I think I still have everything and the ukulele is just the beginning. After all, sometimes you want to light up the evening with friends and create coziness with the help of a melodic guitar.

– What kind of music do you listen?

— I am a music lover, I listen to absolutely different music. It seems to me that this is already a relic of the past: if earlier teenagers were divided into emo and goths with their own special aspects, now everyone just listens to the songs they like.

— You suddenly mentioned subcultures. Have you ever belonged to one of them?

Thank God I got rid of it. (laughs). I was never involved in a particular muscle because there was no time for that.

– Almost every actor has a project in his life that he loves the most and gives a truly valuable experience. Do you have it?

– I can call the painting “Wonderful” such a project. At the time of filming, I had not yet worked at the institute – I was lucky, the producer who worked directly with me was a wonderful woman, Elena Denisevich. She threw interesting acting “hooks” at me, she. One of those projects and the one who helped me learn how to properly build my character.

– Do you think professional training in acting is necessary? Still, there are many artists who have achieved great success without a degree.

– I know very successful actors without training in the profession. I think it’s a choice and an opportunity for everyone. If acting education was a necessity before, there were some rules, now cinema is a little different. There are even directors looking for uneducated actors. But we must not forget that the institute provides standard training skills. For example, you have the opportunity to improve your voice, diction, learn the basics of fencing and stage fighting, and much more.

– You have many TV series projects, but few feature films. Do you want to act in big movies more often?

– I used to like it, but now I don’t see much of a difference. The series has reached a high level, some much stronger than many feature projects.

– What are your favorite TV series?

— I often have trouble distinguishing my favourites. Secondly, I was really impressed: one of the strongest projects “Container”, “Epidemic”, the incendiary “Happy Ending”, the very, very valuable “Vampires of the Midband” and “Kidney”, “Tenderness” and “House Arrest”.

Which director would you most like to work with?

— I really like Gaspar Noe and would love to work with him. It is an inverted, unusual, very strange and incomprehensible thing to everyone. I even want to just talk to him and find out how he built his work on the site. I know that you have created a special cast of people who are not in the acting profession. And it turns out interesting for him.

– And with which players?

– I want to work more closely with Meryl Streep, Irina Muravyova and Danya Vorobyov. I hope our paths cross with Danya in another project. With Irina Muravyova – already from the category of dreams. As far as I know, it is no longer being filmed.

– Let’s imagine a little more and imagine that you received an offer to act in one of your favorite movies. Which one would you choose?

– I really want a time machine to try myself in Soviet cinema. It is very light and lively. For example, I want to play the main character Tosya in the movie “Girls”.

– Many people call your “calling card” short hair. Tell me, was it necessary for the role?

“I’ve had long hair all my life. They were on my waist. I had to do my first bob haircut for the fitness series. To be honest, I cried when they cut them on me. But the second time, it was much easier for me. Then I realized that I love experiments with appearance. I need to make pink threads soon – and I am extremely happy with it.

How did your fans react to your haircut?

“I was met with mad hatred. Everyone wrote that I am very beautiful with long hair. And by cutting them it became ugly. Some did not hesitate to express themselves. But nothing has changed: the face and body have remained the same, only the length of the hair has changed. Then everyone got used to it.

– You mentioned the hat. How did you learn to deal with it?

– There was no particular moment in my life when, for example, I was insulted – and I decided that I would no longer allow such an attitude towards myself. It happened in a hurry. And I started to isolate from it. However, I do not like to judge. For example, I read a discussion in the comments about an actress who did not shave her armpits. So I wanted to ask the people who wrote these: “Friends, what does it matter to you?” We place too much emphasis on ‘unnecessary’. This is not entirely clear to me.

– You shoot a lot. Do you have time for your family?

– Now there is an era when you still want to put all your energy into your future. But at the same time, I don’t want to fall into 24-hour mode. I try to balance, we must not forget to live.

It’s just been a lousy month last year: I had to work between two cities and three projects. It used to be – I was shooting in Moscow in the morning, in the evening St. Petersburg and immediately returned to the airport, flew to Moscow for another project. But really, I was amazed. Maybe I’m a masochist, I don’t know (laughs).
