In 1930, Federico García Lorca presented his poetry collection “Poeta en Nueva York” and gave a recital at the Residencia de Señoritas in Madrid. In 1929 he left to teach in that city and Cuba. An emotional failure and a change in environment pushed him to it. But in New York City, a deep aversion to capitalism and the industrialization of modern society is highlighted.

Federico rejects the discriminatory treatment of the black minority because he considers the human flavor in the African-American community in Harlem and rejects the cult of money. The ship sails away from the coast on its way to the Antilles Islands. He describes himself as “blacks in Cuba” and now knows his world, Andalusia.
