Russian actors Mark Eidelstein and Yura Borisov have joined the cast of Sean Baker’s new movie Anora. This was reported by Variation.
Details of the movie are not yet known. However, the publication notes that filming took place in Brooklyn. The main role was played by Mikey Madison, known for his role in the slasher movie Scream.
The film is currently in post-production. It is expected to be released next year.
“It’s not easy to create an independent film, no matter how many films you have! I was very fortunate to have the resources and support to pursue my vision without compromise. I look forward to sharing this with moviegoers around the world next year,” said Baker.
While the director thanked his colleagues, cast and producers for their work, he also touched upon New York City, which provided the film with a rich cinematic background in terms of story.
Sean Baker is one of the most prominent independent directors. His filmography includes projects such as “Florida Project”, “Red Rocket”, “Starlet” and “Tangerine”.
