Actor Daniel Radcliffe executive produced David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived, about his former stunt double who became paralyzed after an accident on the set of Harry Potter. This was reported by Deadline.
A stuntman suffered a serious spinal cord injury from an explosion that was supposed to be part of a stunt planned for the film. The man hit his back as a result of the fall and was partially paralyzed.
The publication notes that Holmes has retired from acting, but has not stopped communicating with Daniel Radcliffe.
The documentary uses personal footage of Holmes over the past decade, behind-the-scenes footage of his stunt work, scenes from his current life, and footage of his conversations with Radcliffe, his friends, and former Harry Potter cast members.
In addition to working as a stuntman, Holmes played Slytherin student Adrian Pusey in the first two films of the series.
The biopic, David Holmes: The Boy Who Lived, is produced by Sky and HBO Documentary Films.
