“Descendants” star Brian Cox complained that his popularity came to him thanks to the series. His words are quoted Guard.

“I lost my anonymity and realized how important it was to me. I’ve never experienced anything like this: You want success in your business, you get it, and then you have to suffer the consequences. “I have always valued my privacy, but now it is over,” the 77-year-old actor complained.

Cox said he was lucky to be able to remain anonymous for so many years. He admitted that he has been acting for more than 60 years, but his life changed dramatically only after the series “Descendants”.

The artist also said that he was offered a role in the TV series Game of Thrones. Cox could have played King Robert Baratheon but refused to participate due to the small fee.

“American directors have always treated British actors differently. In other words, they got them cheap,” the actor said.

He also turned down a role in Pirates of the Caribbean, which later went to Jonathan Pryce. Cox stated that it was a huge bonus financially but described the role itself as “ungrateful”.
