The Moscow Golovinsky District Court confused the name of the person included in the administrative case card. The defendant was named artist Maxim Galkin (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation) rather than journalist Maxim Glikin (recognized as a foreign agent in the Russian Federation). The court’s press service confirmed to socialbites.ca that an error had occurred.
“We confirm. There was indeed a mistake. The court said: “He is really Glikin, the card was filled in incorrectly.”
The information in the court file has now been corrected. The hearing on the case of failure to report on the activities of a foreign agency (Part 2 of Article 19.34 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) is scheduled for November 13. Glikin MA is listed as the defendant.
Artist Maxim Galkin was included in the list of individuals – foreign agents in September 2022. The Ministry of Justice recognized journalist Maxim Glikin as a foreign agent in the summer of 2021.
Previously, the court rejected the request of showman Maxim Galkin to revoke his status as a foreign agent.
