Singer Britney Spears admitted in her new memoir, The Woman in Me, that she had an abortion from ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake. An excerpt from the singer’s memoirs published People pressure.
According to Spears, the pregnancy at the end of 2000 was a surprise for the 19-year-old star, but not a tragedy.
“I loved Justin very much. I wanted us to be a family one day. It just happened earlier than I expected. Justin did not like the news of the pregnancy, he said that we were not ready to have children, that we were too young,” the singer recalls.
Now Spears doesn’t know if the decision was right.
“If I had decided everything on my own, I would not have had an abortion. “But Justin was so sure he didn’t want to be a father,” he writes.
It is known that Timberlake, 42, was aware of what Britney wanted to write before the book was released.
Timberlake and Spears’ relationship lasted from 1999 to 2002.
