Saxophonist Igor Butman appeared on stage in Oman with musician Randy Brekker. The musician reported this TASS.
“It is very important to promote Russian culture abroad and participate in international projects. Especially now. And we are happy to discover new countries and new audiences. This is our first performance in Oman,” said Butman.
The press service of the People’s Artist of Russia noted that Butman’s collaboration with the American trumpeter Brekker, winner of 7 Grammy Awards, lasted 35 years. They frequently toured the world, and Brekker participated in the recording of two albums by the Moscow Jazz Orchestra.
Now Butman continues to tour the world with the band. The saxophonist’s quintet will arrive in Luxembourg on 25 October; The team will travel to India from December 3-6 and to Thailand in January.
