Ukrainian singer Svetlana Loboda lost the case against Oleg Vladi, the author of the hit “To hell with love”, according to the Telegram channel Shot. According to the decision, the star will have to pay state fees as well as non-pecuniary damages of 50 thousand rubles. In addition, the video recording of the concert that caused a legal dispute will be deleted from the internet platform.

The composer filed a lawsuit when he found a recording of Loboda’s 2020 concert in one of the online cinemas. The singer performed a song he wrote but did not mention himself as its author.

Vladi demanded 500 thousand rubles as moral compensation. The judge partially accepted the requests.

wrong contract

Loboda’s team provided a copyright agreement in Ukrainian signed by Vladi. He claims that he did not sign anything but that his signature was forged.

“According to the agreement, I almost gave Loboda the right to anonymity! Of course it wasn’t and couldn’t be. “In my creative career of more than 15 years, I have never encountered such blatant rudeness and almost criminal behavior,” said Vladi.

“It was not possible to solve this problem before the trial. “Svetlana’s managers are worse at conducting constructive dialogue than forging documents,” he added.

Lawyer Sergei Zhorin warnedIf the fact of signature forgery is proven, Loboda may become a defendant in a criminal case.

“I have seen many times that during a hearing, when a forensic medical examination was requested, it was determined that the signature was genuine and the person changed his statement. The lawyer stated that Oleg Vladi will prove his case during the trial.

The investigation may classify the actions of the singer’s team as fraud or forgery of documents and open a criminal case against them.

In May 2023, Vladi also sued Comedy Club Production over the broadcast of his 2016 show “Dancing”. In the program, Loboda sang his hit song “Or maybe to hell with love”, but the composer did not see his name mentioned in the credits of the program.
