— You started shooting the second season of “Life on Call” almost a month after giving birth. Why did you decide to return to work so quickly? How difficult was it?
— As is usually the case, it seems to us that any living conditions will be easy for us. When I wasn’t a mother yet, I thought I was about to give birth and would immediately go to the playground. Unfortunately, society does not prepare a woman in any way for the fact that with the birth of a child her life is divided into before and after. Everyone says that the baby only eats and sleeps. Actually, this is not true at all.
When they told me the time frame in which the second season would be shot, I thought, “I have a month, I think I will recover.” Therefore, I confirmed my participation and as a result, all artists were gathered for these dates. So, even before I became a mother, I knew that the shooting would be done in April while I was pregnant and I accepted.
And only after giving birth, I realized that this answer was due to inexperience. Now I understand that I did not achieve any success, but I made every effort to play and communicate with people. Because a woman who gave birth a month ago is still under the influence of hormones – these are hormonal changes, breastfeeding. I faced many difficulties but I succeeded. And now, when the baby is six months old, I am glad that the project was realized in this way, because no one has ever seen such a beautiful, such a beautiful and appetizing Lisa Moryak.
— Based on your experience, how soon after giving birth do you recommend actors return to filming?
— I can say from six months. Yes, of course, you can be on maternity leave for one year, two years or three years, depending on your wishes and needs. But if we talk about physical fitness and health, a woman can recover in six months. It is clear that we are not talking about the shape before birth, but within six months you can get into a shape that the woman herself will like.
— How did you prepare for the role?
— In my case, since I had just given birth, the preparation for the role was respectful and thorough. I wanted to look glamorous on camera, so that none of the audience would notice that she had become a little different. I wanted to be the young Nastya from the first season. It’s not like I aged in the second season. (laughs). I just wanted to be younger, with a twinkle in my eyes, so that my image would be read and appreciated by the audience. So we did a lot of makeup testing and even changed an artist because I wanted to be unusually sexy in the frame.
Luckily my husband (Director of the series Sarik Andreasyan – “socialbites.ca”) allowed me to complete some things myself – for example, the images of the heroine. In the series, there will be a visual in which I wear a tuxedo, a bow tie, and nothing under the jacket. I stole this idea from Blake Lively. It turned out really luxurious, I was photographed that day and I already know how it will look in the frame – wow!
— What will change for your hero in the second season? Will there be more of him in the frame?
— When I was at the premiere of the first episode of the first season of “Life on Call,” people came up to me and congratulated me. They thought that the whole story would be based on Nastya, that she would be the main character. Unfortunately, after the first series, I took part a few times in the third and fourth series, but my character’s story ends here. Many viewers wrote to me on social networks that they wanted a sequel to the film, and in focus groups people were interested in seeing the development of the hero. Sarık and I expressed this very clearly. Still, there is harmony between him and me; I think a very bright image emerges wherever he takes me.
In the first season, we allegedly applied for the lead role, but I ended up playing the introductory character. But in the second season we brought out this hero as much as possible, as quickly as possible. It changes just like I do in real life: If I was a girl in the first season, I change 180 degrees in the second season. Actually, I have never played anything like this because it is very difficult for me to dictate to people, it is difficult to be above them, I am a very positive and down-to-earth person, I try to communicate with everyone on an equal basis. And then they gave me a standard: I am the center of the world, I can solve any problem. I tried to find this in myself, and the birth of a child helped me because responsibility appeared and through this I found my hero. I haven’t watched the second season yet, it’s very interesting to watch.
— After diving into this topic, what do you think about the escort business?
“I absolutely do not want to offend anyone, because each person is responsible for his own life and makes some decisions of his own free will.” It’s hard for me to comment on anything. These women all have their own personal stories, and they are often stories of childhood traumas that carry over into adulthood. It seems to me that this may also be due to discontent in the family, the negative environment in childhood. I don’t want to judge anyone and I don’t want to be condemned, so this is the answer.
— Do you think the criticisms of the series, especially the accusations of Forbes Life editor Sophia Brontwein of insulting women, are fair?
— To be honest, I didn’t even see this article. And in general, I can say that every media person is subject to criticism. Filming any content, his personal life, what he wears, what he eats – everything is criticized. An artist, in principle, always lives with criticism. I don’t know a single artist who hasn’t been criticized. So we can see criticism as a symbol of success. The series “Life on Call” has a huge number of fans, millions of them. I live in an area where I am loved and have an audience. I don’t even read these articles. I live in a grateful and cool world where viewers write to me from all over Russia.
— Have you ever acted in nude scenes?
— When an artist reveals himself, he no longer shows his acting talent or professional qualifications, but only his body. I think if you need to show off your body, let the models do it. And I will show my acting skills on the screen. That’s why I work with couples all the time and I don’t see a problem with it.
— Tell us about your feelings about becoming a mother. When exactly did you realize this?
— I want to be honest, especially if young mothers are reading this interview. I want to express my strong support to them because emotions vary and that is normal. The mother may cry, be sad, upset, look bad, not get enough sleep and be upset about her body, mood, etc. You may not be satisfied. Motherhood in the initial stages immediately after the birth of a child requires maximum effort and full participation. It is not for nothing that the term “pregnancy” exists when you need to be with the child 24/7 to “carry” him and give him everything. And here you make sacrifices, you have to give a lot to the child, the child cannot do anything without you. Now I can say for sure: after six months it has become easier, he has grown, he has a routine, he already eats vegetables and fruits. He sleeps at night, of course he wakes up once, but it doesn’t wake up 12 times a night like in the beginning. Of course, the feelings of motherhood are very different, but after all, you remember them for a very long time.
