American rock band Metallica postponed the concert of their vocalist James Hetfield, which was scheduled to be held in Arizona on Sunday, for a week due to the coronavirus.

The group said in a statement: “Unfortunately, James has contracted COVID-19. We are very sorry and apologize for the inconvenience caused by this situation.”

In April this year, Metallica released their new studio album, 72 Seasons, and to support this, they embarked on a two-year world tour that is expected to last until the end of September next year.

Metallica in August donated $200,000 for charity. The music community established a charitable foundation in 2017, and all expenses of the organization are covered by the band members or their partners. All $200,000 will go towards helping victims of recent fires on the islands and repairing Hawaii’s infrastructure.
