The second season of the Arcane animated series based on the League of Legends game will not air before the fourth quarter of 2024. This was stated at a recent conference by developer studio Tencent, writes ginx.tv.
In April, Nicolo Laurent, head of League of Legends developer Riot Games, said that the second season of the Arcane series, based on the League of Legends game, will not be released in 2023. Laurent stressed that three episodes of the second season have already been filmed: “We’re moving forward, but it’s not ready yet.” According to him, there are two reasons why the series did not air in 2023: First, quality productions take more time, and secondly, they do not have time.
The Arcane series was among the hits of 2021. It was also the first broadcast program to win an Emmy in the animation category. The events in Arcane revolve around brothers Jinx and Vi, champions of League of Legends who find themselves caught in the conflict between two cities, Zaun and Piltover.
