A Russian actress named Ksenia Kachalina led a life away from public view and did not answer family calls before she was found in Moscow, according to StarHit reports.
Her former husband, Mikhail Efremov, with whom she had a daughter named Anna Maria, previously supported her and even paid for cleaning services at her residence. Aid was interrupted after Efremov became involved in a legal case following a traffic accident that ended in tragedy. To reach the actor, his mother turned to a comedian friend known as Soryan.
Natalya, speaking from Saratov, asked for guidance, saying she had not seen or heard from her daughter for two years and that most phones were unreachable. Soryan recalled the exchange, noting the puzzling silence surrounding the family’s communications.
The comedian encountered a 52-year-old woman at his building entrance who appeared well, greeted the guest, and explained that she had not answered calls because she did not possess a phone at the moment.
“I do not know. I simply do not have one,” Kachalina reportedly told him during that moment.
According to investigative reporting, Kachalina, photographed by reporters under unsanitary conditions the previous year, was described as agreeing to communicate only with him.
“Ksyusha responds only to me. Honestly, I could barely hold back my tears. I will forward the video to his mother via WhatsApp in the morning. God bless,” Soryan shared in a message.
On July 8, 2020, Efremov was driving in Moscow while intoxicated and crossed into oncoming traffic in the city center. The driver of the opposing vehicle, courier Sergei Zakharov, was hospitalized but did not survive the injuries. A court sentenced the artist to seven and a half years in prison. Efremov is currently serving his sentence in Correctional Colony No. 4 in the Belgorod region.
In recent days, Elman Pashayev, who previously represented Efremov as his lawyer, spoke in an interview with Socialbites.ca. He described Efremov as a talented actor who warrants a fair path to release from prison and suggested that the actor may have been subjected to severe punishment in this case.
