Actor Matt Damon admitted in an interview with Radio X that if he was offered to take only one musician or band to a deserted island, he would go there with the Irish band U2.
“I love them, I will take this group with me to a desert island. If you have to pick a band, for me they exclude The Beatles, which I love,” Damon stressed.
The artist also chose the work of the group Inhaler, whose leader is Elijah Hewson, the musician son of Bono.
Matt Damon and his close friend and colleague Ben Affleck produced a documentary about U2’s 1997 trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Irish band and its lead singer Bono, who performed in Sarajevo, then uttered a cult saying from the stage: “Long live Sarajevo! Fuck the past, kiss the future!”
