Russian director Kirill Serebrennikov appeared on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival with the cast of the movie “Tchaikovsky’s Wife”. Super.

Serebrennikov in Cannes is accompanied by actors Alena Mikhailova, Odin Byron, Vladimir Mishukov, Svetlana Ustinova. At the Croisette Palace of Festivals and Congresses, Serebrennikov was greeted with applause.

It is known that festival organizers do not accept Russian journalists, and applications from Russia are not examined due to sanctions. However, the actual competition for the review will begin on May 18 with the screening of Tchaikovsky’s Wife. Another Russian film, The Tale of Alexander Sokurov, was also supposed to enter the competition, but the director refused to present his film at Cannes.

The festival will last until 28 May.
