This exposure After AU, Inaugurated this morning in the Sempere hall of MUA possible futures of the campus, its architecture, and its human and non-human community. This is detailed by the curators of the sample, Juan Carlos Castro-Dominguez, researcher and professor of Architectural Projects at EPS (UA) since 2006, founder and director of Fab Lab Alicante, as well as curator and cultural manager of events related to technology, sound art and electronic music; and UA Architecture student maria ponce garrido.
In the words of the rector of the University of Alicante, Amparo Navarrois an example that considers the “possible futures” of UA before the material wears out. the rector himself participate in a video where the exhibition tour starts, “announced” in a fictional reality UA will cease to be face-to-face and will only exist in the metastore. The Rector said, “I agreed to do this collaboration in this video because I thought it was a very interesting project combining architecture and fiction.”, but wished, from this fiction, “Long live the face-to-face campus”.

The curators explained that there were different parts of the sample.: architecture and infrastructures, materials, non-human, soundscape and also with a section like a “time capsule” and in which invites the visitor to drop UA related objects, to make a collective capsule.
Sample raises speculative fiction as a tool for reflectionAbout possible future changes in understanding the ecosystem that makes up the University of Alicante: its campus, its architecture, and its human and non-human community. The exhibition consists an immersive and accessible space, based, reflecting the future of the near future social isolation experiences Intense discussions about measures to be taken in the face of a critical situation, such as the Covid pandemic or environmental crisis and how to deal with new ways of relating to nature and nonhumans. A reflection on the past, present and future of our university campus has been proposed through the various chapters – architecture and infrastructures, materials, inhuman and soundscape.

Completed with exhibition proposal a range of events that invite the university community and the public to participate: creation of a collective time capsule; guided tours by the exhibition curators (12 noon 12 and 14 July); Celebration of the White Night (July 21), with a special pass to the exhibition and a night visit to UA’s infrastructures.
