Trees were planted in the Victory Museum on the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Kursk, one of the biggest and most important strategic battles of the Great Patriotic War. Participants dedicated living monuments to warriors of historical wars and modern heroes – all those who at different times defended their Homeland at the cost of their lives.
The artist came to the landings with his family to leave the memory of a soldier who was martyred in the NVO region. According to Petrenko, he could not fly to the farewell ceremony, so he tried to pay his respects to the hero in Moscow.
“Today, one of the special operations fighters sends off in Tula – we dedicate this tree to him,” said the actor.
The actor said that the hero and his comrades were at the scene of the tragedy on the day of his death – therefore the action on July 5 took on a special meaning for him.
Over the years of its implementation, the environmental-patriotic project is firmly entrenched in the status of an initiative involving people from all over Russia in preserving the historical memory of heroes whose exploits should never be forgotten.
