Blur released their new album ‘St. Charles Square”

British rock band Blur, “St. Charles Square” was the second single from the band’s ninth studio album, The Ballad of Darren. The clip of the song, which includes footage from the last Blur concerts, is on the band’s official channel at: YouTube.

According to Blur frontman Damon Albarn, St. Charles Square (as the song’s title translates) is “a place where you can see monstrous ghosts”.

The band announced their first album in eight years, The Ballad of Darren, at the end of May. Also the team introduced The first single from the LP is the song “The Narcissist”. In the track list of the disc, which includes a total of 12 songs, the album will be released on July 14.

Albarn described the album as “a reflection and commentary on where we are now”. Guitarist Graham Coxon added that as he got older, he began to pay more attention to “that what we’re playing is full of the right emotions and intentions.”

Ballad of Darren was produced by James Ford of former Arctic Monkeys, HAIM and Florence + the Machine.

Blur was formed in London in 1988 and became one of the most influential British bands of the ’90s. The team has been on leave twice during its 35-year history: in 2004-2008 and 2016-2022.
