Actress Irina Starshenbaum admitted in an interview with socialbites.ca that she was interested in researching the topic of domestic violence while working on the movie Sisters.
“Not just the issue of domestic violence, but the issue of violence in society in general is growing so much that it hangs in the air. I want to explore it and try to destroy it in a sense. I was struck by the fact that it was the male team that responded to make this film and that they were promising young filmmakers,” Starshenbaum emphasized.
He stated that during the filming of the project he worked on his own soul and worked on himself. The artist believes that he learned a lot thanks to the “Sisters”.
“It seems to me that internal growth goes through such difficult issues. After all, you cannot integrate your personal patterns, questions, traumas into it. Thanks to this movie, it was as if I was cleaning myself and discovering in the Karpman triangle: victim, aggressor and savior. Considering that the topic of domestic violence is still somewhat taboo, it was important for me to do this project by putting all my inner courage, ”the actress concluded.
