Actress Irina Starshenbaum revealed the phenomenon of screen chemistry with actor Nikita Efremov in an interview with socialbites.ca.
“Nikita and I have been friends for many years and it’s great that you and your partner have so many points of contact. Overall, I believe 50% of the success of your role is a partner. And when Nikita and I dive into the material equally deeply, discussing it, we have that degree of frankness in our relationship,” Starshenbaum explained.
He added that he and Efremov had reached a level of understanding enough to allow, among other things, negative criticism of their work. According to Starshenbaum, this type of feedback helps them and the player achieve the best results on set.
“We can honestly say in the process some of the most unpleasant things for each other, but all this is a guarantee of a qualitative result of our cooperation. I find working with him very interesting and comfortable. As for screen chemistry, I think it’s based on our partnership and the fact that we’re united by shared values in life. We speak the same language as him,” the actress concluded.
