Ballerina Anastasia Volochkova said on Instagram (the owner of the Meta company was recognized as an extremist and banned in Russia) that the artists of the Bolshoi Theater turned to her for help.
Volochkova said she received an anonymous message and an article asking dancers to defend their retirement rights. According to the star, ballet dancers who end their careers can only get paid after 5 years.
Volochkova is ready to defend the artists.
“In the article, the artists admit that many of them hesitated to even give their names due to the pressure of the theater management. I understand them… But I am a brave person. I think it is necessary to announce this situation to the public,” said the ballerina.
Volochkova noted that she was ready to lead the movement of ballet dancers. According to him, his colleagues should apply to the State Duma in a collective letter and request to schedule a meeting on this issue.
Since 2003, Volochkova has been suing representatives of the Bolshoi Theater. The ballerina is trying to get the money back and recognize the illegal orders, for which she went on a free vacation, as she worked in the theater for 18 years.
Previously Volochkova accused her ex-mother-in-law of forcing an abortion.
