The 50th anniversary festival of the author’s song “Grushinsky Festival” will be held in the Samara region. It will begin on June 29 for bards and fans who are already on the train. A retro train in the style of the 80s of the last century awaits passengers of the Grushinsky Express.
“Grushinsky Express” has a historical status, it was completely restored by Kuibyshev railway specialists. The six wagon wagons, each bearing the coat of arms of the Soviet Union, are painted green. Inside, they tried to recreate the atmosphere of the 80s of the last century, which was the peak of the festival’s popularity – more than 100 thousand people gathered in Polyana. Almost all of them went to the Mastryukovy Lakes, where the festival was held, by electric trains.
They tried to recreate the same atmosphere inside the cars: benches made of tightly fitted slats, wooden frames, photographs on the walls, guitar-shaped tables and a stage.
They always sang on the way to the festival but now a small improvisation can be done on stage with microphones installed.
From June 29 to July 1, the express will operate on the route Samara, the platform named after Valery Grushin – Tolyatti.
Nikita Vysotsky, Oleg Mityaev, Galina Khomchik and many other artists will come to the 50th anniversary of the Grushinsky Festival of Author’s Songs.
The 50th Grushinsky Festival will be held as part of the Russian Art Song Marathon-2022-2023 with a grant from the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives and the support of the Samara Region Government.
