Singer Philip Kirkorov is on the new episode of the podcast “Do You Want a Scandal Now?” He told me where he got the nickname Primadonna.
“I don’t remember calling myself king. Everything stuck to itself! Now one more thing has been added by the way: Primadonna. Fun! I didn’t find it. It’s all because of the Kamyzyaki team. With their light hands now everyone calls me Prima Donna. Well okay! Call it a pot , just don’t put it in the oven, ”Kirkorov joked.
Thus, the singer responded to the words of a fan that the legendary Russian musicians Leonid Utesov and Vladimir Vysotsky would never call themselves the “kings” of the stage. Kirkorov recalled that many domestic musicians were given rather grandiose nicknames. For example, the artist remembered Nikolai Baskov, who is considered the Golden Voice of Russia. Also, Kirkorov called Alla Pugacheva and Irina Allegrova, whom the Russians respectfully call Primadonna and Empress.
Previously Philip Kirkorov opened a new blog and named it Pugacheva.
